A very boring desk and minimal text. I am still at the hospital for my IVIG infusions. Today is the longest day, many bottles and much time. It leaves me with a thumping headache but hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be feeling strong enough to open the tightest of pickle jars, to walk my two miles and a brisk pace on the treadmill and sit happily at my desk creating for hours on end. I have a couple of cranked-out gnomes using my Addi 22-pin machine. I am cranking gnomes and knitting hearts filled with lavender for my darling daughter’s disability social group to potentially sell at their next fundraising Bingo.

They take only a few minutes to “knit” on the Addi and not a lot to sew up.

Other than that, just the If You Had To…. cards. Yeesh. I guess I would have to live with Siri as my only friend. At least she has the answers to most questions.

Happy WOYWW y’all! I will link at some point – depends on when Mr Linky pops up and where I am! I’ll get there eventually.

Sorry you’ve been going through such a rough time but I’d be really impressed if you can now open a pickle jar. I haven’t been able to do that without the help of a neat gadget DH bought from a disability shop years ago. I love your gnomes – they are so cute – and I spotted the fab hearts in a more recent post. DH was given one when he left the ICU. Such a thoughtful wee gift. Hope you’re having a better week. HI Mary Anne, so sorry you have to go through all the medical things you need to do, what a bummer. That gnome is the cutest little thing! I bet you sell a lot of those! Siri and Alexa are already my only friends these days! Have a great week, Lindart #27

It has to be Siri without a doubt!
Hoe you soon feel the benefits of the hospital time. Sounds as if you use the sitting time successfully planning ahead.
Love that gnome, how cute is he? But what is the machine you mention you make him on?
Hugs, Net 6 xx

It’s called and Addi Express and it is the smaller 22 needle size (available at Amazon) but I think there is a mini Sentro that is similar, not quite as good quality, but cheaper 🙂

Hi Mary Anne, hope you’ll see the benefits of your treatment soon. The gnomes are absolutely adorable. definitely something I would buy at a fundraiser! They will sell out quick I’m sure! Take care, zsuzsa #17

Oh man those choices are hideous; Siri ….. it’s like choking between two depressors! I’m fond of a bit of Bingo, I think it’s fun, so a bit of fundraising that way really speaks to me. The gnomes are great! Hope today passes quickly, it’s one of the probs with having things done before, you know totally what to expect and how long it will all take. Ugh. More though, I hope the headache isn’t too long or relentless.

Hi Mary-Anne I hope you get over your treatment soon.
Your gnomes are so cute! They should sell really well.
Your “If I had to” is hard this week, but I suppose it’s what hospice nurses get all the time. Better than just having Siri as your friend, telling you to drop coins in a toaster, as one did here recently.
Take care and happy WOYWW
