2019 DIY Calendar with BOLD TEXT PL-style cards

There is one of those awkward titles again.

Still working thru some requests.  This time it is for one of the DIY calendars with bold text, easy to read for those of us with older eyes. This is based on the original one from a few years back:

And as a result is the 5-a page for 2 pages then a trio of blank cars with Daily Celebrations, Trending and Currently headings.

You can download that here.

Still working on the circle CD calendar with quotes but it should appear very soon.

2018 DIY calendars (Decorate it yourself)

By request, I have a couple of 2018 calendars that you can decorate yourself.

First, here is a CD calendar sized one:

Download that here.

And the other is the smaller PL size cards:

And you can download that one here.

Hopefully this will give you a chance to get started on some Christmas gifts! Thanks, Kristi, for the nudge.  {wink}

Already? Yep. some 2018 calendars.

Just something I was playing with.  I’ve had gradients on my mind.  So there is the pretty standard B&W version:

which you can download by clicking this link

And there is a pretty, colourful version:

that you can download by clicking this link.

Because I’ve done them as five blocks per page, you get three blank frames at the end for journaling if you want.

Been a while since I made any calendars so this was a bit of fun for me.

Yep, still here. PL printables for Easter

<sigh> so busy.  In addition to completely re-painting the kitchen table and chairs, I have:

  • sanded and varnished two end tables, a library table and a coffee table for the living room
  • hung about 30 pictures in various places around the house (not all very well LOL!)
  • hung and hemmed curtains in the living room (why can I only get ones that are too short, or 16 inches too long??)
  • hung curtains in the master bedroom and my office
  • made curtains and replaced blinds in hubby’s office
  • made curtains for both upstairs bathrooms
  • painted and decorated the dire downstairs loo – a stop gap as it really needs tearing down and rebuilding, including adding a sink and a heater and insulating
  • cleaned and painted a particularly filthy bit of ceiling outside the kitchen
  • painted the kitchen and the chimney
  • redecorated the bathroom (including painting cheap furniture to look better)
  • moved my sewing room so I could…
  • …sort out the guest room

and about 100 other small jobs. Hence my absence from here for so long.

We are working on a small cyber-crop over on UKScrappers for National Scrapbooking day, which is a much needed creative task to balance out the hard work of getting the house in shape for three different sets of visitors over the next couple of months (including DS and his GF – very excited about that!) and the in-laws (also excited about THAT – MIL and I are going to dye sock yarn with KoolAid!)

BUT while waiting on the phone for something or another, I made this set of printables for Project Life – or regular scrapbooking, if you prefer, but in the 3×4 size. I had a plan to make some calendars but not had the time.

Anyway, here they are for download:

Pretty basic but cute, I think.  Hope you find them useful, and I will be back with a calendar or two at some point (2018, for sure!)

Requested, but I might as well share

I have been hiding away, recovering from the devastating news from the USA and from a tooth extraction.  I’ll say no more on either topic.  But I had gotten a request for calendars with a triangular theme.  I made one, then another.  Here they are:

Been a while but I am anxious for Spring – printables!

I sort of got out of the habit of making printables.  Maybe partly due to dealing with changes in the new OS, maybe cause I got sort of consumed by book folding and cut&fold, maybe cause our house-hunting got in the way, it’s hard to say. But I did make these simple journaling (or photo-frame) cards and thought I would share them.  I was frustrated because I spent way too long trying to make the Quartz filter PDF reduction work in El Capitan and it won’t.  The original file was over 8 mb.  Huge.  I found an alternative method that took me down to about 3 mb, which is still larger than I would like, but not bad.  Although they appear to have a directions, really, I think you can rotate them to any orientation and they will look fine.

Download the single page here! I think you could easily add an oval cut photo into the space, or cut away the space and stick the photo behind.  Add a few lines and use as a journaling box, or add some bits and bobs to create a pretty cluster.  I might even adapt them to make a calendar, who knows? And with a little thought they might work well for planners, but that may take a bit more thought….

I’ve spent the longest amount of time at my desk today, since my injury, so that bodes well for next week. Fingers crossed…..

Housekeeping – book folds and a calendar

I’m just adding a couple of things from requests.

First, a calendar.  I’d made this one in 2015, then updated it as a Spanish language one for 2016. When I got a request for an English version, I couldn’t find that I had made one.  So I sorted that out.  I asked if the original requestor wanted the Sunday to Saturday version or the Monday to Sunday version like the Spanish one.  No reply yet, so I just did Sunday to Saturday.

The PDF with all the months is here.

Next, I had a request for a ! book folding template.  The request was for a specific font, Habano ST, but that one was pretty slanted and I just wasn’t sure.  So I made a few others, as well as a Habano that was straightened

I figured with those choices there would be ONE that worked.  Having made the 3-page PDF I might as well share it.You can download it here.

So as far as I know all request have been dealt with.  Phew.  Busy day for me, so I’m off….

Hats done – on to Christmas!

I have my 100 hats boxed up and ready to go, a package full of preemie beanies ready to mail (including a few Santa hats!) and something I made as a gift that needs to get in the mail pronto.  And so my thoughts turn to holiday packaging.  I always like to make a few tags and toppers, handy for wrapping and last-minute surprise cards.  It can save the day when someone stops by with a gift I wasn’t expecting – a decent bottle of wine, in a wine-bottle bag, and a few simple cards with their envelopes (and a pen stashed in the pantry) is perfect for quick scribbling of holiday greetings!  It doesn’t happen often, but when it DOES, I’m always happy when I’m prepared LOL!

So these are both tags and toppers, as yo prefer.  Only the actual tags are single use – the toppers can be Project Life filler cards, card toppers, or tags, if you write the To:/From: on the back.  The round tags work the same – toppers for a small card, with a brad or button hiding the hole, or an eyelet and a bit of ribbon, or as a tag, with the To:/From: on the back

Grab the 2-page PDF here.

Now with Thanksgiving out of the way, it’s time to focus on the Big Day in December. {sigh} I guess I can’t put it off any longer…

One more 2016 Calendar for you

I bought another set of handwritten fonts that I love, and a total bargain at £7 for 20+ of them.  OK, so not ALL of them are winners, but more than 50% are.  I needed an excuse to play with them.  This is the result:

last2016all

I also made the sheet with blank space instead of a calendar month.  I thought it would be useful for journaling. You can grab the 4 page PDF  here. I called it Last2016, but I may still make more, if the mood strikes me.

This is also a chance for you to comment to say which of my past calendars you would want to see for 2017! I’ve made…well, I haven’t counted but I am guessing is at least 20 unique designs.  I may have to do a post with samples of them all, and do a poll LOL! But I still have one more super-easy, very cute Big Knit hat design to share.  I am SO CLOSE to being done with my 100.  I also have to knit a couple more Baby beanies Santa hats for that charity, then a trip to the post office and I am DONE.

Oh and HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my American readers.  We have acquired some fresh turkey parts at the grocery store and will be creating another Franken-bird.  Finding a fresh turkey in the store is near impossible before the big Christmas pre-order date.  As it is just us three this year, a bit pointless to order a £45 massive bird, even if we could have gotten it in time, which is a big IF.  I suppose it saves me from having to cook TWO big birds this year…..
