Happy New Year to all, but especially my WOYWW mates.
Now the Christmas madness is more or less over (still the tree to take down – never fun) I am back to crafting a bit. DS is loving my arty stuff so I am mid-way thru another canvas for him, documenting his obsessions.
The base began like this – shame I got overenthusiastic and more or less covered the cards – just a few hints peeking thru:
It still needs a few things but I may get some time with it today – but maybe not. I used the gel crayons I mentioned yesterday – love how they work, so who knows? Gelatos may be in my future yet! And oddly, some inkjet printer decal paper that I swear I bought 10 years ago and never touched. It works fabulously well and I’ll talk about it when I show the final piece.
Here’s wishing you all a happy, healthy, prosperous and crafty 2014! Looking forward to another year of WOYWW inspiration.
See you round at yours…..

A Happy New Year to you and yours Mary Anne. Love the finished canvas – it’s very eye-catching. And the statistics are very revealing, are they not? What they certainly prove is that you are definitely doing a lot right with your blog … you must be happy with what they reveal. Hope you have a wonderfully crafty 2014. Elizabeth x #79

Really love the canvas. I have to agree with some of the other comments about being late and being able to see the finished product! Didn’t get the chance to post on WOYWW…I still could but…. So I thought I would drop by and say hello! Very creative desk and looking through the posts it looks like you have been very busy this year already! Happy New Years and I hope your holidays were all you wanted them to be. Looking forward to a busy and creative new year! Vickie aka Okienurse

I’m here late enough that I’ve seen the finished project. I would say it’s more than “good” but I’m not a cool teenager! As to tangled yarn, I spent two hours last night trying to untangle a skein that is honestly the skein form hell, I have no idea what the manufacturer did to it but I can’t put it on the swift at all. I’m about half way through and feel like throwing it in the bin tbh!! So yes, some yarns are more tanglier than others!!!
A bit late, but Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you and yours….much peace, good health and enjoyment sent your way for a great 2014. Love the canvas’s you are doing. We have a new fad going around the US…a gal has a business, sets up home or business place parties to create on canvas. there are 20 to 30 invites. $30 to participate and she furnishes supplies. Has 1 theme that night and people are going wild attending. and she’s making a million !!! I can only use so many wall hangings but I guess it is a night out with friends.
Enjoy the week #39

Not having room for a tree means not having to decide when to take it down…

I don’t really mind taking down the tree now we have an unreal one! a neighbour, in the next street ( hasten to add…ok that sound snobby) was fed up, so I heard that it was always her who put up the tree and took it down even though she had four young sons and a lazy hubby…. and decided NOT to take it now… ‘I put it up, you lot can take it down…. ‘ she said, in June she pulled the dead tree into the centre of their living room… ‘you can see it’ said my friend, ‘it’s true’ the tree is still there, dead with all it’s decs still attached…’ so I had to go see… and it was!! well, it matched the other things thrown in the garden….so didn’t look too out of place! I think she gave in by the end of July! Gives a whole new meaning to Christmas in July! Happy New Year to you, lets hope it’s the craftiess one ever!
Happy 1st WOYWW of 2014!

Happy New Year, Mary Anne. You have been having fun!! Great stuff – golly, imagine having time to do craft things this past week. My family have only just left here, so I’m still in the “exhausted but happy, why not do a jigsaw to relax” state!!!

Haha, no such thing as over enthusiastic in my book!!.I am always adding what seems to be too much, but is ok when I step back a bit. Love the canvas. What a treat for son to play in your room!! Children who have access to art materials are very lucky.
