Ok, so I am hugely limited in what I can do on an iPad, in the middle of Wales, on a MiFi connection! Can’t comment on 4 out of 5 Ive tried, so it’ll have to wait a day or two. On to my WoyWW…
It’s another one of those “I’m not about” WOYWW Wednesday so it looks a lot like LAST Wednesday except an opinion is sought. The sort of glimpse of the project not-anywhere-near-done, with both the altered skull seen last week and the black and white ne as it comes out of the packaging, will help YOU help ME – which looks better?
The old-bone coloured altered one?
OR the black & white one straight from the packaging?
I know my life has been hectic over the last month, and my hit rate on WOYWW comments stinks at the moment, but if you see this, please make your choice known. I honestly cannot decide one way or the other.

Love the 2nd skull, a bit more grungy (though would also love the gold one maybe with a bit of black and brown rubbed in). Thanks for sharing your desk. Some great makes on your site

I like them both. The one right out of the packaging is more creepy, but the first one is more natural looking. I think it all depends on what look you’re going for.

I would go with the first skull, the altered one. In my opinion it looks more finished!! I hope you come to a decision soon! 🙂

Well Mary Anne, I’m here to up your WOYWW count this week. I am not especially fond of either of them, but if I have to choose, I prefer the second one. It has more contrast with its surroundings. Sorry I’m late getting here, but I’m taking it slow and sure this week (#15).

Hey MaryAnne….I forgot to add that if the skull is going to be displayed right where it is….then the 2nd skull with it’s black and white color…goes better with the colors of the display as is.

I personally like the altered one….though the original looks more evil….I reckon it depends on what you are using it for and just how evil or scary looking you want it to be. I really like the look of the one you altered…it actually looks more “real”. Happy Halloweenie”!!!!

I love your Octopode Factory stamps! I just bought a Christmas set from her yesterday! And I am eyeing the Alice in Wonderland set!
But back to your skulls…
I think the black and white one fits in the best with your display. They are cool skulls, where do they come from?

Definitely prefer the old bone one, more realistic….. dare I say it but he almost looks happy!! The black one is more scary but the colours are not so good.

I agree with Sally, abandon them both! That “cute” challenge seems to have sent you on a downward spiral. I didn’t think they had Halloween over there. What are you going to do with this one???? To answer your question, I seem to agree with most of the posts that the black one is way more scary, so I suppose it depends on what you are going for…more “polished” or “let’s scare all the people reading my blog”. You seem to have startled a few folks this morning!!

like them both, but the black one is a tad more gothic and a whole heck of a lot more menacing. I think it works better with the stampotique images in black. I like the altered one in terms of realism – depends on what effect your going for. love the project. caroline #14

I’m incredibly jealous. I want all your skulls! I like the second one best as it looks as if you’ve just dug it up. Now could you let me know about the little skull to the left of the big one? Is it a stamp? Cos I think I need it!

I like the old bone one, the black and white one is badly painted around the eyes. The eye sockets look far deeper and more sinister on the old bone one.

In context I think I prefer the black and white skull…sort looms up out of the animations! It is a great tableau! Hope Wales is being kind to you – I’m haing trouble commenting too – I shouldn’t worry about your overall hit rate MaryAnne, this is meant to be fun, not obligation!
