Always a little deflating once your reach a milestone then go back to “normal” LOL! But here we are once again at the week bast a big one. And my desk is less of a mess than it could be.

I am still playing with ornaments and the orbs you see hanging from the top of my desk are the most fun and stupidly easy – BIG payoff for so little work. The blue sheet on my desk is a printable version I am working on. Come back tomorrow to grab a download of that and probably this one:

Pretty, right? The paper is a scan of one of the paper transformed sheets and a bit of freebie digital paper.

The other pile o’stuff on my desk above is for a postcard swap I am doing. I hope what I have there is going to be enough to make three! The swap is really make SIX and swap THREE, but I am ok with only making the swap ones. So I probably will.

Let me see…what else? I had a breakthru with the Cat, as she willingly and on her own, climbed up to sit next to me on the sofa. It was a surprise. She is def. warming up to us all. I’ll have to add snapping a cat photo to my usual routine. I managed to snap a quick photo of her and Darling Daughter sitting at the top of the stairs having a bit of a moment LOL!

Now I will be putting aside the holiday nonsense as I have a birthday coming up. Not a BIG one, or a significant one (not retirement age, not an ending 0 or even 5) just another year gone. I am doing a swap (postcards) and a challenge or two. It all keeps me sane.

And my knitting mate is due today so not rushing to link – I am trying to be chill about it all especially on weeks when I know there are drags on my time and I won’t get to commenting after my initial burst in the AM. But a very happy WOYWW to all and I will hop on by as soon as I can!

  1. Love the Orbs! So pretty! And thank you for making them available to print! They would make great hostess gifts for December! Welcome to the new kitty, Inky and Mittsy say “meow!” I’m sure it will be on your lap soon, and then you can say “sorry, I can’t! Cat on my lap!” always a good excuse to get out of fetching something for someone! Have a great week, Lindart #17

  3. Like the sphere will be interested to see how it is done. I wouldn’t encourage the cat too much my cat used to sit on my work table all the time. and if she thought I wasn’t taking any notice of her she would paw me. Have a good week Ani

  4. Well, I think Cat is coming round, after all, it’s been quite an upheaval, and they aren’t exactly social on our terms at the best of times! It’s a nice pic of DD and Cat, any interaction is good, huh! I like the baubles and laugh at the not complicated ease…easy to say! Hope you’ve had a love knit and chat day, very nice amidst all the rushing and pressures. And many happy returns too, for when it comes.

  5. Lovely ornaments Mary Anne, they look very origami. I like the peel at your cat but am looking forward to seeing a full photo of her. Glad she’s brave enough to come and sit next to you. Dreamies help!
    Take care and happy WOYWW

Your banner looks great and lovely to see the cat is starting to mix. If you want a laugh search for ‘Simons Cat’ on Facebook, he has cats down to a T . . . very funny but oh so true . . .

Enjoy your knitting friend’s visit and have a lovely birthday. Angela #10

  8. Well you say those baubles are easy but it looks complicated to me, lol! I really love the shape and the colours you’ve used, really funky. I’m so pleased the cat is finally deigning to sit by you on the sofa now, lol! Ron, our dear old cat, never sat on me but used me as a radiator when I’m boiling all the time – I miss that. Have fun with your knitting buddy!
