A great way to complete an Art Journal page using Neurographic Art techniques

So NOT my last AJJ challenge then. LOL!

I have this little art journal that is full of pages that have random stuff on them. A lot of the pages look very much like this – colour, pattern, but no real sense of order at all.

As a way to easily add interest, I started with the neurolines and then some circles, using the usual process:

And in the end it looked pretty cool.

I was amazed to find one of the circles was pretty much the exact size of one of the Dina Wakely stamps! Result!

I tarted it up a bit with a swipe of Stabilo All and stuck it in place.

Again, the words had been printed some time in the past, on label paper, so I made use of them. They seemed to fit. I am sure I will do this more often cause I do love the look.

Only halfway thru the month and so many face pages! DOH!

  1. I normally HATE seeing comment moderation, but it is good when I’m as far behind as I am visiting. I was glad to see you DO moderate your comments, so now I know you will see this one.

I never think to start a page with random stencils, but they seem to work well for you. I also love the neurographics, this time in black. It turned out great, especially with the Dina Wakely stamp fitting so perfectly in one of the circles. This was brilliant, and I love it. I really like how you also chose it for Erika’s theme at Art Journal Journey. It turned out great. It appears you really like this theme.

BTW, I was mortified by my last message where I didn’t add the “E” to your name. It really IS my keyboard. Sometimes I think I’ve typed a letter, but the keyboard sometimes skips a letter and if I don’t reread what I’ve written, I miss it. Thanks for understanding Mary AnnE.

  2. A lovely journal page Mary Anne, I like the way you started it and the colours you chose to illustrate it. What a fun, vibrant happy page.
