WOYWW 621- ATC backs for the swap

Happy WOYWW to all my desk-hopping buddies! I am now fully vaccinated, and quite happy to be so, but my desk sat unloved and untidied for far too long because I had a thumping headache, a sore arm, and was SO tired. I really started to feel more myself by last night and did a good clear-up.

Still there is a before and after. The before is the debris from the weekend and a project that is now done. More on that possibly tomorrow.

And the after is from yesterday – I kinda ignored the whole chaotic mess on Monday, and did nothing but my 100 Days project.

Much of the debris from the project is in my collage fodder basket, and I will possibly use some of it to make my ATC for the swap. I went back and found the ATC backs I designed for the 6th Anniversary swap, and thought I should do a set for the 12th. It needed more than just changing the words cause Julia’s blog header has changed. For the 6th Anniversary I matched the colours to the blog, and wanted to do the same this time! I used my quite ancient, but still working, PSE and the colour-picker to get them just right

and designed three different option on on sheet. Hopefully you will find them useful. The image is just a .jpg – this PDF will print better and clearer. Do download it if you want.

Here is my 100 Days re-cap – I think the vaccine fog in my head has meant my design choices aren’t as good as usual. A couple of questionable pages here!

And today’s, which I do actually like, although for maybe the first time I just stamped the letters, rather than stamping them then punching them out. As a result they are a little wonky and less clear then they should be. I might re-stamp them and overlay the punched letters.

So have a lovely day getting your arty fix from all the deskers! I know I’ll be hopping like mad today.

  1. oh such fun activity on your desk. I thought I read were Julia was mentioning ROUND ATC’s? I like them all Glad you are on the mend. Similar feelings from most around here. Have a great week

  4. You always have such lovely colours on your desk, Mary Anne. A real feast! Thank you for your visit, and I’m glad you are enjoying the progress of the kitty throw. I am so enjoying doing it. I am keen to get it finished so I can give it to my hubby on his birthday on 19th May. Still quite a bit to do and impossible to work on when he’s around, especially now it’s getting so big! So glad the ginger tips were useful. I use a lot, and it’s so handy being frozen in chunks in a bag. When it says “grated ginger” in a recipe, I find it’s just as good cut up finely. I hate grating it because you end up with all that stringy fibre. Online shopping is essential for me, but my hubby will always go and get stuff that’s not available – I just don’t like having to ask him to do a whole weekly shop if I can avoid it. Mostly it’s absolutely fine, and the Tesco staff are all lovely. I’ve got to know quite a few of the delivery drivers and we have a nice chat and a laugh when they come, and they are so helpful, helping me unpack the boxes and putting things where I want. The staff on the phone are lovely too. Far preferable to traipsing around the supermarket with a trolley in my opinion! It’s only occasionally that we get glitches like the yoghurt incident and I hope this is now resolved permanently. It always pays to complain! I shan’t be taking part in the ATC swap because I’m not really in studio mode at the moment and have too much to do away from it.

    Happy WOYWW,

  5. I wonder if that is why I keep falling asleep all the time. If I go on the computer or watch tv I am away to the woods in dreamland. Of course it could be old age that is causing it. Certainly is not over working that is tiring me out.
I love the concertina/accordion fold piece of art on your desk, what a load of lovely colours and soe see to have scenes on them.
So generous of yun to do those backings but I have already got some stamped up ready – my only contribution so far. I just wonder about the postcard – nothing of interest close to me.

  6. Mary Anne, I am in love with your ATC back designs!! How awesome to have a program that you can do that…..even if it is, as you say, ancient!! I can’t even design on my blog, much less that! LOLOL Maybe one day I will be able to operate my blog, phone or ANYTHING computerish (my made up word…hee hee)!!! Love that you have continued on with your 100 days challenge! You are a better woman than me!! LOL Have an awesome rest of your week! Felicia #27

  7. Fab idea on the ATC backs – I’m rather nervous as I’ve never done one before. Your flexagon layout was fab! So many flips and flaps. I’m loving the colourful booklet(?) in your first desk pic today. I never seem to get around to playing with my gel plate and paints. Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #5

  10. I love the colours and patterns on your folded zig zag card – just gorgous. The ATC backs are fab and I love your pages too. Gad youi are feeling a bit better after your second jab – I’ve heard of several people saying the effects are worse than the first one.
    Have a good week,

  13. I’ve heard that the second jab is affecting everybody more, but better that than catching Covid! Thanks for the ATC backs, some great designs there! Your 100Days pages are great too, I don’t know how you think up all those ideas!

  15. Glad you’re over your vaccine, I hear that a lot of folks have had a reaction like that. Your photos of your desk made me laugh . . . . know the feeling well.

  16. Those ATC backs are brilliant. I’ve been using an old stamp that I must have had for…..well I don’t like to say but it’s a long time but these are brilliant. The foldy thing looks interesting and hope we get to see it finished. Happy creative woyww, Angela x14x

  17. Oh how fab the ATC backs are, thank you! Save me using the same old same old that I’ve had forever! Sorry your second jab got to you, We are all reacting differently, that’s for sure. Loving the colours in play on that diamond accordion fold, makes your collage basket very attractive! Also love the folded ATC holder that you showed the other day, pretty sure I can tackle that from your lovely clear photos and instructions. I’m such a visual learner!

  18. Well done on your clearing your desk ready to start again. So glad to hear you are feeling better and hope
    Stay well and safe,
