Happy WOYWW y’all! What a week it has been. I’ll say no more.
I decided another shot of a really clean desk would be far too boring so I’ll start with my desk last night:

I mentioned I would make sure to get my birthday book finished so I could share it, and once I found the stamp I wanted I can now do so! Here is my morning desk after an evening tidy-up:

And a close up of the book:

There is a line that says BREATHE at the bottom of the stamp, but luckily the little chit-chat words fit perfectly to block that – maybe so because the first thing I did when I got the booklet was to scan the full pages. Now I print them out and use those instead of peeling off the original stickers – you can see that in the top messy desk photo. It just means that I can now snip out individual words, if I like, and build whatever phrase I want. I scanned at 300 dpi so even the white writing on black prints really well. And I now have an endless supply, which is nice. The phrases on the book are slightly cobbled together from phrases in the pad.
I did take a final shot without the bulldog clip so I might as well add it:

I am coming to the end of my can’t comment links! Two old crop buddies this week – PearshapedChris and Cardarian! I spent a couple of lovely WOYWW crops chatting to them and hope one day we might meet up again. And, let’s refer back to my list…Oh yes! Annie C had a fab Demelza doll on her blog, a week or so ago. Love it!
That’s it for me this week. Next week in the week of the 20th of January. I am counting the hours….

Love your book, I don’t do scrapbooking but always like to see other peoples efforts. Sorry I am a late visitor but have very busy Wednesday and Thursdays these days. Ani

I liked this so much I posted it to my face book page with the comment that Mary Ann is the artist and I do not know your last name and gave folks a link to your exact blogspot here. Do you have a facebook page we can begin to follow?
Thank you,
Petrina-Upstate New York.

I was here this morning but on my phone and typing a comment on that takes real skill! Thank you Mary Anne, for the message and link, all recieved, all sorted, I clicked on something else on that webpage and not only found the issue number of the mag #179 2018, and then found it all ready in one of my files, on the side in the ads for Pinterest there was MY picture of my ringbinder files on THIS weeks woyww! How quick was that!? Big Brother is watching! The birthday booklet is brilliant, nicely sized too. Stay safe, keep Crafting! Happy WOYWW ((Lyn)) 21

That’s a lovely book, Mary Anne. Thank you for your comment and I’m glad you enjoyed your visit. I always like to buy wool in bulk because I don’t follow patterns and mix and match my colours and always like to have plenty on hand so I don’t run out! My stash is rather large, as you can imagine, but the problem is I often don’t have the exact colour I want! Such is life. My new Vitamix is brilliant and so far no problems. It’s getting used several times a day. Your leek and cauliflower soup sounds yummy. We usually have a main meal at lunch time and something like soup or wraps etc. in the evenings. We’ve got roasted veg and hummus wraps for tonight and the leek and potato soup is now in the freezer.

The birthday book is gorgeous. Having a collection of words at the ready is a great idea. I have stamps with text and sentiments and I could do with stamping them out as I’m terrible and when I need one I regularly can’t remember which set it comes with and then go mad trying to find it but I’m sure I’m not the only one Lol! You mentioned the new die, is it roses which it’s not it’s just swirls but I’ll cut some card and then it might be easier to tell what it looks like. Take care and have a lovely creative week, Angela x23x

After several attempts at various types of ;birthday books I gave up and just put them on my phone now. it sends me reminders a week or so in advance to give me time to make the cards.
Love what you have done though and I have that stamp. I used to love it and try to use it whenever `I could which was not always easy. Hope this birthday book works for you.
Sorry about what is happening at what is home for you. Must be hard listening to that news. I fear for the new president and his life when he takes over.
Stay safe and well

I love your birthday book – mine is a pre-bought one that allows me to slot cards into every month in preparation. It doesn’t get the attention it should though and I’m always forgetting birthdays or sending late!
Happy WOYWW!

What a clever girl you are to scan those little words!! I have a couple of sheets I made up myself, still never have the one I want! Love your little birthday book, mine is so old and battered it needs re-doing. I end to rely on the list on my pc but its good to have a paper back up as I have learnt. Yes, the world has gone crazy – let’s leave it there!! Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs Cindy #14 xx

You honestly couldn’t make up what’s been happening in the US! What terrible scenes in Washington, I really hope that Trump is impeached, even the Republicans seem to be turning (finally) against him. Keep your hands and minds busy then with some lovely crafting and the little book is gorgeous, I love the old font of the initial, it works so well!

Hi Mary Anne, I used to have a birthday diary many years ago, no idea what happened to it, but with my family growing every year, I think it time to create a new one! Yours looks a fab little book. Great idea on the phrases. I might do some on photoshop, and print them out, then I have them to hand. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #18
