Happy WOYWW!! Things have deteriorated. Back to a huge mess. Oh well. Here is a tightly cropped shot, all you get this week:

Working on a page, in my newly built art journal. More about that in the next few days, and about the bookbinding cradle I built. I think it was helpful. It’s on the other desk, and here it is in action:

In the last few days I shared some stencils I had cut and asked if sharing the .svgs might be helpful. It is a set of ladies faces – a bit more bold and actually they might be easy enough to cut by hand if you don’t have a machine but like the idea. They would be great for masking on Gelli plate prints. Here is the full set. The numbers on the faces correspond to the file name, 1, 2, and 3. The last file is all of them, smaller, on a single sheet. Hopefully they will be useful!

I has been a while since I used Dropbox, but if I have managed it correctly, here are the download links:

They can be used as a mask or a stencil. I LIKE sponging around a mask, with all the rough and messy edges, like on the page above, but I accept not everyone does! Sorry for the crappy photo but this is the cover of the journal all opened out. You can see I did the sponging around the mask on those two flowery blobs. The text is clearer in daylight but it says I have read and agreed to the terms and conditions. Also from a stencil I cut, but stenciled a little lopsided LOL!

And I finished my left-leaning politically themed mini-art journal. You can see it here, if you wondered about the end product.
Lastly, lets all take a moment to reflect on the fact that WOYWW is nearly 600 weeks old. What a milestone! And I just want to say that I am making a huge effort to visit every blog, even if I can’t comment, due to my pedantic insistence that I won’t let Google have one more way to grab my details. And I’m sad, cause I always see stuff I want to comment on. I am thinking I might have a way to comment indirectly….I shall test!

Oooh, I like how you bound that book with a ‘double cover’, I might ‘borrow’ that idea, it looks great!! Thanks for your visit to my blog yesterday. In the Netherlands there were stricter rules announced in order to get the covid-number down but I am allowed to stay working at location – pfew! That’s a release! And especially for you, I translated the cut-out Dutch sentences that are on my art journal spread… it says:
Corona-time
it was a
exceptional summer
bra-less through life
keep a distance
the one-and-a-half-meter environment is quite difficult
facemasks
in the train
phonecalls with
my son
and then
on September 1
after a forced break that lasts months
back
to work
Stay healthy and happy! Love from Holland. Marit #2

Journaling is something I have never tried band the prospect of trying seems extremely daunting, but it seems that once started it can be quite addictive. I did a little cutting on my Silhouette Portrait this week, but I’m not a great expert I must confess!
Take care and stay safe!

Loving your face stencils and how you used them in the journal. Think I have been sucked in by that rabbit hole too. My brain seems to stop working but I have had a few distractions recently. I actually started blogging originally so I had somewhere to store my ideas then when my brain goes on holiday I have somewhere to look for inspiration or at least remember how I made something. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x19x

I like making my own journals, I really like your ladies page. I looked through your other Trump posts. I am glad you found a release making them, sometimes it appears there is little we can to do to influence others, but pray Happy WOYWW Angela #29 By the way thanks for the calendars.

Your page is gorgeous, Mary Anne, and so generous to share your beautiful svgs which I shall definitely download, but may not get to use for a long time! Too many other projects in the offing at the moment, not to mention all those dreaded UFOs that I promised myself I’d finish! The silhouettes have such an elegant line and I am sure they would come in useful. Thank you for your comment, and I’m so glad you enjoyed your visit to my blog.

Hi Mary Anne. It has taken me all morning to pick up my click and collect order, so I am really late (for me) starting to work down the list – sorry! Your drawings are beautiful. I know folks will love using them – as I’m not even sure what a SVG file needs to run it… I don’t expect that I will be able to make use of them. So generous an offer to everyone though.
Take care. God bless.

Thank you so much for those files, not sure what I can do with them but they look awfully good in your journal and would do in some of mine. In fact I was really taken with your journal pages as soon as I got here. Love the colours of the pages in your political journal, what a gorgeous background.
Stay safe and well, Hugs, Neet 14 xx

Happy WOYWW and thank you for your earlier visit. I will get those faces downloaded now – they will be very versatile for journaling/other mixed media and also cards. I love to make mini books etc, but haven’t got a bookbinding cradle. Definitely on my wish list. Ali x #9

Mine is made from old kids blocks, some thick foam board, and chipboard. In the past I have DEF. seen one on youtube made from ALL chipboard, although it would obviously be less sturdy. Have a check. There may be more since I saw that one. Happy WOYWW!

Oh you just reminded me…600! Blimey. I LOVE your left leaning album and everything about it. I read your blog post the other day when you waved goodbye to a reader…you’re damn right to make no apology. It must have been almost cathartic and also will stand as an amazing record of four years worth of shock at every POTUS appearance. The SVGfiles are just so generous of you and they and they are quite beautiful.

Hi Mary Anne I love your anti-trump journal. You’re right it won’t change the mind of the idiots who support him but I’m glad it helped you. I’ve been just as amazed by how the masses support our domestic dickhead but their media manipulation is working. Fear and loathing strikes again. Take care, stay safe and happy WOYWW!
