WOYWW 591 – much improved!

Hello WOYWWers!

Well.  What a difference from last week!  MUCH BETTER overall, even if the actual desk is less than pretty.

The tiny little stamps are from a printing press stamp set I got decades ago.  I use it all the time, and the tiny storage pots from Tiger work great to sort the letters – even so I bet I’ve lost half of them to the floor and then eventually the Hoover!

This is a little art journal that has mostly political venting in it.  This will ultimately be the last page and you can see it better here:

That is before I stamped what I am arranging, which is the URL for VoteSaveAmerica.  I HAVE already voted. Hopefully it will count. Just a reminder to anyone from any country, at any point in the election cycle….

And now a few shots of the cleaner areas of my desks, cause the contrast from last week should be noted!

The mask is on my desk because I had to hot-glue the little frame inside, to make breathing easier.  I don’t dare allow my glue-gun out of my office or I might never find it again.  Like my mini-sander….no clue where it got to.

My Cricut desk has some stencils on it and a big pile of collage stuff that needs sorting into the little tray/drawers.  It’s a real mix of magazine stuff, vintage ephemera, and other found items. That is going to take a LOT of time.

My Gelli-desk is not too messy – I have the paper towels and the journal base I will cover with them set up, a bin of some old prints, and my mop-up journal.  Pretty sure that was a gift from a WOYWW person from a long time ago. Does the name Deckled Edge Bindery mean anything to anyone?  Do let me know!

Have a great day!

  1. ooh love looking round your space (ah the mini sander-so small! who knows where stuff goes sometimes!!). LOVING the calendars on your more recent posts too, never thought about other countries starting their week on a Monday! Learn something new every day.

  2. Love your journal page and thanks for the calendars – love the doily version!
Sorry I am late commenting… Happy woyww! Susan #13

  3. Well I really enjoyed my snoop around your space today and super things in progress too!
How great to have dedicated desks for different techniques!
    Stay safe!

  4. I ADORE that journal spread. Those colours are gorgeous. Wow you have so many desks to get crafty on, do you use a chair with wheels to fly across from one to the others. Hahaha have a great rest of the week.

  5. Love your page. I would do a political journal but am too afraid it would self combust! Great you have designated areas for Gell press vs cards, journals. I have 4 desks one has my sewing machine on it and is covered with journal stuff (txt paper, tissue paper, wipes,). One has stamps, and dies, one has scan and cut and blank journal gesso pages. One is where i make cards and journals so basically that one has to be clean in order to work. in my double closet there are iris carts with fabric, ink pads and refills and basically a lot of stuff. It is never ending. Gets straightened up and a few weeks later looks like a bomb went off!
    Thanks for sharing your space!

  6. Your page is pretty cool! I’m sure I wouldn’t have many of those tiny letters left, either! Your whole room looks busy! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

  7. Hi Mary Ann, goodness you have a lot of desks! Must be lovely to have a space/place for everything. And how organised they all are – I haven’t looked at your desk from last week, that’s next! I have a worktop and a side desk, but I’m currently working from home, so it’s a bit cramped at the moment. I do hope there is a good turnout for the voting in America- there seems to be lots on the news about it! Thanks for stopping by earlier. The nurse also surprised me a couple of years ago with the pneumonia jab in one arm, and my flu jab in the other. I wonder if they were on a performance bonus! My first time at making chocolate truffles- I have 3 weeks to perfect them! Oops I didn’t know there was a difference wool/yarn – I’m a beginner (that’s my defence and I’m sticking to it). The GIF is good – just a little too fast, so I might have to see if I can slow it down. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #17

  8. A great journal page, Mary Anne – and to coin a phrase, it’s quite “eyeball-y” lol!! Thanks for your visit. I find the meal planning isn’t a great effort really, now that I know what I’m doing and have got it down to a fine art, and it doesn’t take me long. It makes a huge difference to my life so it’s definitely worth doing.

    Happy WOYWW,

  9. I did enjoy the tour round your craft room this week and the items on your desk are most interesting. I don’t talk politics online but I just have to agree with the sentiment on your journal page today – not to vote is not to count. Have a good week. Elizabeth x #27

  10. Your first and I think I’m last today ~ What a great page, bright and with a good reminder for everyone to vote! I have little letter stamps, but mine don’t have the line up tool that yours has, that’s pretty neat. Enjoy your week! Love, Karen#32

  11. I think you desk is very pretty….pretty busy anyway! That is a brilliant journal page and a very true sentiment too. The stamps are very tiny so not surprising you’ve lost some, I would have lost even more by now. Wishing you a lovely week and a very happy woyww, Angela x12x

  12. Happy WOYWW and thank you for your earlier visit. I love your journal page. The colours are incredible. Those teeny tiny stamps must take some patience, although I can see how useful they must be. Ali x #8

  13. Well I live and breathe – how lovely to see you here!! Gorgeous page, I love the colours (and totally get the political ranting!! I have to watch my blood pressure all the time). Interesting to see you using an insrt for the mask – I was looking at them the other day and wondering if they helped. Missing items in the craft room – my most infuriating one at the moment is my big 12 x 12 double side hougie board (score board). It’s enormous and bright green – haven’t seen it for weeks!! Lovely to see you back, happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, Cindy #22

  14. Hi Mary Anne, I just scrolled on to your last post, and had to laugh. I bought those exact same bottles, and put my Brusho’s in them too. Great minds, and all that. Lots of great pics, the journal is fab, and yes, I agree, if people don’t vote, they lose the ability to complain if things don’t go their way, imo. Those little print letters look so useful, but I’d have lost most of them by now. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X #6.

  15. Love your journal. Absolutely agree we must vote. Fingers crossed for a good result and for your tests today

  16. Hi there. Mary Anne. That page is incredible – so bright and powerful. Well done. Your space looks amazing – you have worked so hard on the grand tidy up. Thanks for already visiting. The grand splashes of colour with the brushos (I do so enjoy using them) are going to be made into cards shortly. I had this idea that I probably wouldn’t be spending Christmas with my family this year, due to this dratted virus, so, in preparation, I would put together a box of gifts or them all, post it, and then if I didn’t get to visit, they would still have something each that I had made… hence some cards for when they need one in a hurry!
    Take care. God bless.

  17. I absolutely love that page. So vibrant and such a fun image. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#14)

  18. Love the bright colours of your work! I was reading about the Trump/Biden ‘debate’ this morning, it wasn’t great for either side. I’ve become ‘shouty woman’ at our news as well though, my boys joke about where’s my pitchfork! I’m starting to have some sympathy with Guy Fawkes…now, where’s my barrel of gunpowder…..
    Hugs LLJ 2 xxx
PS That thing you’re gluing inside your mask looks helpful for breathing.

  19. Your journal page is amazing!! Incredible piece of art work. I’d be sure to lose those tint print blocks. Looks like you have been busy at your gel desk too, I see more incredible backgrounds, that’s a good desk to be at. Not sure about the deckled edge bindery but it sounds interesting. Wishing you well this WoywW Tracey #7.. P.S keep hold of that glue gun :))

  20. what a lovely bright page! those letters look teeny! I see you’re off for tests today, hope it goes well. I may have sorted the commenting issue on mine…… I tried! Helen#3
