WOYWW 192 – so clean!

I am nearly done.  Yesterday I spent some time labelling stuff.  My theory is that just SEEING the labels will remind me of stuff hidden away in drawers. That’s the theory anyway!

woyww193

It’s shocking the amount of STUFF I have. I got all my cardmaking supplies in one section – that red bin you see has all my cards, nicely organized my “event” and WITH ENVELOPES.  I never had trouble finding the cards but I was forever hunting for the right envelope.

I was able to consolidate almost all of my “arty” supplies on one shelf – all except my gilding flakes and Pan Pastels.

My desk, was pretty clean, for a very short time, then I started cutting some bits of sticky-backed foam and making texture plates/stamps for what I hope is going to be a fun day playing with my Gelli plate!

woyww193c  I have to get them all stuck down and then I can just get messy with paint.  I would have finished yesterday but DDs bus driver (driving a new, longer bus) got the darn thing stuck in some mud just off the driveway.  It took an hour and a half and an emergency call to DHs pub-mate and his son, to shift it.  Hence the totally different colour-cast to this photo, taken late in the day!

Pop round Julia’s place to see what all this WOYWW lark is about. And I’ll see you at yours.

  1. You have a LOT of stuff!!!Looks so tidy, I bet you don’t have to spend a lot of time hunting for something either. Really like the way you have it all set up. Wish I could get to this stage – one of these days! I like all your little cubbies..is this custom made or a bookshelf? Great job. Thanks for all the lovely pictures too. Hugs

  2. You have been a busy beaver sorting all that stuff and I am with you labels help you to remember what you have in those tubs.

  3. Happy WOYWW. There must be something in the crafty air, as I have been having a big sort out too – but, in my case, I have also drastically reduced the amount of stash in my craft room. Loving your storage. I love looking at piccies of craft storage options, which is what brought me to WOYWW in the first place. Those texture plates look wonderful. What a good idea to make your own – truly crafty. Ali x #8

  11. I hate to be the one to say this, but really – allthat stuff to make cards that fit in the red bin at the side? Oh em gee, I am NEVER going to organise my stuff, the reality is too harsh! Great job MA, you must be really pleased with the result. I knew you’d get a great kick out of the gellis, your explorer gene will be buried in ideas for days!

  27. Having jsut cleaned up my own room I was remembering when the desk was completely clear, three cubbys were empty and there were two plastic storage drawers and they had empty drawers in them too! Now, well, let’s not go there, let’s just say that I understand completely!!

  28. Hi Mary-Ann, it’s been fascinating following you through your sort out and reorganising of your stash and I so identify with your ‘shocking amount’ of stuff … you should see mine! I’m afraid it’s just a quick visit today to see what you are up to. Unfortunately, the EM is unwell and needs looking after so time is limited today. When I have a bit more time I’m planning to read through your previous posts, with pen in hand to take notes 🙂 Hope your WOYWW has been happy. Elizabeth x #55

  32. Love your very organised crafty space – but it makes mine look like an awful mess in comparison!

  33. Wow now that’s crafty goodies galore! I like labels too, and I like to group things all together so arty stuff in one area and paper stuff in another. Thanks for popping by earlier, I will be bringing my Copics, I expect, to the Crop, I tend to use them most but it was good to do the Spectrum Noir test and to pass as the techniques are similar – both being alcohol markers. I do love anything to do with colouring and pens! Have a good week. Take care Zo xx 76

  34. Hi Mary Ann

I have nearly all my drawers labelled well how else would I know what was in there.
    janet #38

  35. You have really been hard at work on the organising!! Maybe labels is the way to go, I do forget what is inside drawers… and now you have got a gelli plate? OK, will be watching to see how you get on with that!! Annette 18
