I find it hard to believe that when I finish the Clubs, 2012 will be over!
I wasn’t sure what to do with this one. I wanted to use Pearl-ex, and try en overall black-on-black embossing but wasn’t sure where to go with it. What I did was first embossed the overall crackle pattern:
Then I was sort of stuck – where did I want to go from there? I thought of a few things, some which may end up on future cards, but in the end just stamped over the crackle with Versamark and dusted the Pear-ex over it.
I wanted to try adding a frame and a gold crown, so I did, and the letters – those Es look weird to you? I only had one, so they are actually G’s trimmed and upside down!
The frame will ALWAYS annoy me – one serious issue with clear stamps is that they can easily distort. I spent ages trying to get this frame square on the block, peeping thru it to my gridded mat, but n the end my eye still sees it as wonky. Say what you like about red rubber mounted stamps but that NEVER happens with them!
I actually did this early this morning, but was so darn busy all day long I just could not find the time to blog it! I now have a few minutes respite and thought I’d better whack it on up or it would be tomorrow before I even thought of it again.

What a fabulous background – the black on black looks amazing, and I love the texture that it gives! Thanks so much for stopping by at Words and Pictures… really appreciate your lovely comment!
