WOYWW 150

I’ve seen some doily envelopes that I quite like the look of, so what is on my workdesk this week is debris from my playing.

I have my Martha Stewart Scoreboard out – and sad but I had to go looking for info on how to do so as I’ve lost the little scrap of paper that came with it which explains it all.  Silly, really, that they don’t just print the info you need right on the board as well.  It’s shaping up nicely, although a lot of what I see is based on the standard US letter size width of 8 1/2 inches.  I’m trying to work it out using an A4 sheet cut to 8.25 square.  I’ve pretty much sorted the 5 1/2 x 4 inch card (which t’internet tells me is A2 size) but I’d like to see if there are other sizes I can manage.

Why am I showing you the mess on my desk?  If you don’t already know you really must pop round to see Julia and find out all about WOYWW.  Have you gotten your badge yet?  Who knows when and where you may spy one! And as this week Julia threatens to post in the middle of the night to give the overseas lot a crack at the top spots you will see me in the middle up the field.  And I’ll see you and your desk when I get up!

  4. The doily envelopes sound lovely. I’ve got a Judikins envelop template which is of course US sizes and also some really tiny ones for gift tags. Very cute.

  5. Great idea with those envelopes

  6. arrghh…. anything Martha generally needs a complete Encyclopedia to learn how to operate, or do, or make,…. I still think the woman a bit strange…. I used one of her recipes the other day and …..arrrgghhhhh! if there was a simple way to do anything she absolutely refused to even contemplate it. Eleventy seven more steps if you please…. it will be worth it…. oh, yeh…right…. it’ll all taste the same I’m sure.

  7. Your envelopes are very pretty. Don’t have a scoreboard myself, just use the old-fashioned pencil and ruler and then put it in my cutter and score with a bone folder – not always 100% accurate so maybe this is another piece of kit I need.

  11. Oh, I’ve seen those doily envelopes and love them. I don’t have one of those MS thingies – saw one at Michaels but resisted! I find that when I make cards I do simple designs – not too much embellishments. Can’t wait to see how your envelopes come out!

    Happy WOYWW

  15. My word – you have your very own snowstorm! Sorry I didn’t reveal the other layout. That’d be because I was too busy cleaning windows and floors and dusting and hoovering prior to the arrival of her Majesty my Mother, to get it finished! LOL. Will reveal all privately in a mid WOYWW blogpost and let you know when I’ve posted it!

  24. I agree with you about directions etc. Why not print them on the back so they are accessible. I have started gluing some instructions and pictures to the backs of my dies and stuff. Makes it oh so easy! Hope you have a great week. Vickie #32
