Getting close the the 102 WOYWW week now!

My room is still clean, and my desk not a disaster.  YAY ME!  Working on the little box from the art sheet I made yesterday.  Stamping in place and I am “auditioning” things for the bobbing acetate strips.  I like he hearts but not 100% sure about them.

Tidying up always unearths a few gems.  Remember beadlings?  They were so popular back, oh, 8 years ago.  I found this little lady – isn’t she sweet?

I just love her little bead-boobies!

And remember I mentioned a sweet little paper flower using a punch, that I saw on Kirsty’s blog? at least I think I mentioned it here.  Maybe only on UKS – no matter, I got the punch and used a little scrap from the box to test out the method.  I like it.  Quite tiny, but cute.

Black was not, perhaps, the best choice – I do think it would look lovely in pink, in yellow, in red…any colour really.  Slightly time consuming to make but perfect for a lazy night in front of the TV.

Have a great WOYWW.  I did better than usual last week, hitting a fair few blog, and plan on doing even better this week.  I was very inspired by all the interesting things I saw.  What I love best about WOYWW as it really gets those creative juices flowing!

  1. Loving your stamped exploding box, and the flower is so cute, i think the black would look lovely with grungy beads on a necklace. I have done the promarker colouring twine as i couldnt find any either, maybe uk shops will catch on eventually lol. So love the ipad cover bet you dh loves it, its ultra modern. Kezzy x

  11. I remember making a load of angels with little beads after copying them from some I bought in Czech. I used one on the spine of my Christmas album that year. Like the pretty flower, will go and click on the link for the tutorial. I do alot of auditioning but my hubby calls it faffing – they got no idea have they?!!!

  12. Love the flower – what’s the link to the tutorial would love to have a go – it will cost me the punch though. But would love to try it. Your desk is so tidy again – good for you!!

  14. That flower punch is a gift, huh..really nice. I really like the way you audition pieces to add to your stuff…I tend to auduition colour rather than shape…interesting..will try other ways. Gotta agree about WOYWW being an inspiration – I’m here aren’t I?!!

  15. nice box in progress. love the colors. The beadling is cute! her hair is awesome. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #78

  16. that wee flower is just lush. I think black is underrated when it comes to flowers – they can be so striking, especially with a bit of stickles at the edges.
I have honestly never seen beadlings before, but cute too!
    have a fab wednesday

  17. Your box is looking lovely! And the wee flower looks beautiful too, would be great size on a tag or when you don’t want a big flower on a card!
The mermaid doll is so cute! (I have a bit of a “thing” about mermaids, love them!) I will have to save that picture and try making one some time!
    Happy WOYWW!

  18. yep the bead boobies are an eye catcher! loved the desk tour this morning, I do love the mermaid best…

  19. Thanks for dropping in on me….the wool I’m using was so very girly that I am using the same pattern as I’ve used before….it’s the lemon wrap round one so the 193 stitches is the bit at the bottom that goes all the way round….it’s my sort of pattern cos it starts off big and gets smaller and quicker to knit 🙂

  24. I love the pretty swirly box; half the fun is “auditioning” the extras! I must have bypassed the beadlings first time round, but I love that mermaid with her flowing hair.

  25. Love the box you are working on – and that flower is lovely ~ Happy Wednesday ~ Nicky

  26. Now that wee flower is probably a good size for lots of things – the bigger ones can sometimes be a bit over powering!! Oh and I took your suggestion and ran with it… so have a look when you get a minute!!

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you found something interesting and welcome your feedback. If you ask a question, and don't add your email, do either subscribe to replies or check back. I try to answer every question if I can. Cheers!
