Hello to you! It’s WOYWW day. I had the remnants of my “word rosettes” card on my desk at 2pm – by 3 pm it was all neat and tidy with my project for today ready and waiting.
I mounted both full plates of stamps – something like 50 stamps in the end – and plan on using them to decorate the castle. The smaller one is the template from the book, the bigger one is after I scanned it and re-sized it. It should be fun. It’ll be very steampunk, as the stamp images are. It’s not for anything or any reason in particular except that I have been wanting to make this since I got the book a year or so back.
Last week I had an non-existent WOYWW showing but this week I am hoping and praying that with the dawn of a new month my internet will cooperate I just need to hold on till the 8th when my new dedicated line gets installed! Frankly, as we were something like 19 gigabytes over the allowed 40 gig last month and online for 726 hours out of the month (I checked – the month had 744 hours in it, How is it possible I was offline for 18 hours? LOL!) I say again – how the heck can they dare claim “Unlimited” broadband when it is, in fact, limited? I’m surprised I was able to do anything at all. Fingers crossed!

Your castle looks most intriguing, Mary Anne! Can’t wait to see it steampunked up lol!
Hope you get the broadband problems sorted soon. Nothing worse than computers playing up…
Happy WYWW,

Great castle! jenx 71
wow – that castle is cool – I must have missed a post somewhere with the background to this tho….what book?
I think there are wierd things go on behind the ISP scenes. Give them a good argument! That castle is quite an eyeful, and the stamps will keep you busy for ages. Looking forward to seeing the castle when it’s finished – endless possibilities.
Cheers,

Only 726 hours online! tsk, tsk!
Look forward to seeing that castle completed
that castle you have done is a bit special! Cannot wait to see it completed.
This is the second plate from oxford Impressions I have seen and wanted this morning. Two totally different ones but necessitating in a trip to the web site.
Thanks for sharing – or should I say thanks for tempting me. Hugs, Neet xxx 27
Thanks for your lovely comment – I got my new power adaptor this a.m. so I’m up and running with my fav laptop again yayy!! I’ve been hearing a lot about freezer paper recently, so I’ve just ordered some and am keen to try it. I didn’t realise you could iron it on to things. I’m very interested to hear more about printing on kitchen paper ironed onto freezer paper – have you got any photos or further info about this, please? Sounds right up my street!!
I’d also be very interested to see a pic of your WOYWW ATC with the kitchen paper.
I’m thinking of doing a blog post (or more) on the subject of using waste stuff in our art, as several people have commented about it, and it’s something that could be a challenge, and fun, and give some interesting results. It will be interesting to see what people come up with.#

Have fun with your steampunk project. I bought a few items to try this out….i kept seeing it online and finally learned what is about…looks fun and different!
That is a lot of stamps to mount!
I bet it feels good to have that task done
And I can’t wait to see your finished castle!
Do I recognise that castle….. I’ve not made that one, it will be interesting to see it finished.
WOw that castle is incredible. i would love to see more recycle art stuff. i have a hard time mixing stuff, the concrete head never sees whet to do. I find parhcmet paper more usefull than freezer paper as I use it for press, baking and preventing glue from heat and Bond mess up my ironing board

PS parchment paper is grease proof paper
Hey! You are right! The only limit to unlimited should be the hours in the day. That’s just not right to say you were over. Your castles are totally cool. I’ll keep an eye out to see what you create with them. Judy #119
I love that castle and am agog to see what you do with it! I used to make castles out of boxes and Pringle tubes all the time when my boys were very young, then got them to create themselves when they were older. We had so much fun, it was fun using junk to model and the boys loved making homes for their Lego men…happy days
I shall enjoy seeing your end result!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
Hugs, LLJ #1 xx
Well, you either use A LOT of internet time, or somebody goofed when figuring up your hours! The castle looks awesome, and I can’t wait to see the book!!
I’m having a giveaway, open worldwide this week. Come check it out if you get the chance!
